Just Wait A Little Longer
July 3, 2008 – 9:04 amAs we announced yesterday, Eli’s surger has in fact been rescheduled to next Wednesday, July 9, at 10:00 am. The explanation from the surgeon’s office is that two emergency surgeries needed to be scheduled for this morning, our doctor isn’t on call this weekend (so he doesn’t want to have to come in), and the OR’s are fully booked for Monday and Tuesday. We are, however, on a “priority waiting list” for Monday and Tuesday should something get canceled.
It is obviously frustrating to reschedule your whole life, take off work, coordinate friends and family, and mentally prepare everyone for going through this, only to have it canceled. But, I do take some comfort in knowing that, despite his pain, he is in a lot better health than a lot of other kids.
Thank you all for your prayers. Please continue to remember Eli, and what God is doing through all of this, as the new date approaches. (And please pray we’ll just be able to get this done!)

Hey Angela. I have been keeping up with Eli’s situation through Parkway, and I just wanted to send you a note of encouragement. I just watched the short video on your website and was so touched by the faith that you and Eli so visibly showed.
We will be lifting you up at church and here in our home. I know we havent seen each other in a while, but if there is ANYTHING we can do for you guys (besides pray), let me know. Love ya I will talk to you soon.

Angela, Eli and family,
Alexia, Tim and I have watched the video(s) and just think you guys are precious. Alexia and I have been praying (especially tonight) and will continue doing so. Alexia wants to come and visit Eli and bring him a special present (she sent him a previous e-mail, as did I). Please know your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Give Eli and big squeeze from “Ms. Dana” and tell him we love him.
