A Few Steps Closer

Praise be to God! It was a struggle, for Eli and for us, but he sat up on the side of his bed unassisted for several minutes, walked to his tray table, and stood playing with some small toys for quite a while. It was a HUGE step. Heather, the OT, came in this morning and she and I (Ray) worked with him for almost an hour. She was great and didn’t give up.
He still has a little ways to go though. Today was huge in giving him confidence in the strength of his back and legs. Please pray that he would not fear the possibility of pain as he tries to move, but have the confidence and courage that God promises us. Pray for the continual improvement of strength in his back and legs.
